We are excited for you to be a Girls on the Run 5K Volunteer at our HACC 5K. This section shares information a volunteer needs to know for the day of the event. REMINDER - all volunteers are asked to complete the "5K Volunteer Form" in the section above.
Friends & Family Zone Activity Volunteers
Activity Volunteers assist with activities in the Friends and Family Zone. Volunteers should arrive by 7:15 am to check in at the Volunteer Table, where they will receive a volunteer lanyard with emergency contact information.

Cheer Station Volunteers are positioned along the course to cheer on and motivate participants. Volunteers should arrive by 8:00 am to check in at the Volunteer Table, where they will receive a volunteer lanyard with emergency contact information.
Course Guide Volunteers (Click here for an interactive Course Guide Map)
Course Guides are stationed at key points along the course to cheer on participants, provide encouragement, and ensure everyone stays on the correct route. Volunteers should arrive by 8:00 am to check in at the Volunteer Table, where they will receive a volunteer lanyard with emergency contact information.
Activity & Cheer Station Volunteers
Activity & Cheer Station Volunteers assist with an activity in the Friends and Family Zone and are then positioned along the course to cheer on and motivate participants. Volunteers should arrive by 7:15 am to check in at the Volunteer Table, where they will receive a volunteer lanyard with emergency contact information.

Spirit Runners bring the magic to the course in their bright pink Girls on the Run capes, running or walking alongside participants while cheering them on and celebrating their strength every step of the way. Spirit Runner volunteers should arrive by 8:00 am to check in at the Volunteer Table, where they will receive a volunteer lanyard with emergency contact information, pink cape and cheer gear. *Clearances are required for this volunteer role
Water Station
Water Station Volunteers keep participants energized and hydrated by setting up tables, filling cups, and handing out water with enthusiastic cheers of encouragement. Volunteers should arrive by 7:45 am to check in at the Volunteer Table, where they will receive a volunteer lanyard with emergency contact information.
Course Clean Up
Course Clean-Up Volunteers help wrap up the celebration by collecting Spirit on the Course signs, cones, and directional signage from the 5K course. This assignment is typically paired with one of the volunteer roles above.
